Bylaw Boosters appear every week and are meant to help you know and understand more about LeTip International. Feel free to contact ANY board member if you have questions about bylaws and their impact. If you do NOT have a copy of the bylaws please contact me immediately.
BYLAWS: ARTICLE IV: Section 1: Subsection C
“If I or my alternate miss two (2) consecutive unexcused meetings or four (4) meetings in a calendar quarter, excused or not, membership will be terminated. A member arriving late or leaving early at a meeting will not be tolerated, and for attendance purposes will count as an excused meeting for calendar quarter attendance.”
TIP: If you know you are not going to be able to attend any of our chapter’s meetings please call us at 503-972-7993 as soon as possible. If there are certain unavoidable reasons for needing to leave early please inform the President or Secretary before the start of the meeting.
TIP 2: To avoid arriving late, consider arriving EARLY! The board, the greeter and the showboater are requested to arrive at 6:30 am to prepare. So … come on down and join us … do some early networking!

“Defeat is a state of mind. No one is ever defeated until defeat has been accepted as reality. To me, defeat in anything is merely temporary, and its punishment is but an urge for me to greater effort to achieve my goal. Defeat simply tells me that something is wrong in my doing; it is a path leading to success and truth.”

This coming Tuesday, April 29th is FIVER DAY!
What is FIVER DAY? FIVER DAY occurs when none of us has brought a guest to a meeting.
Tips on bringing guests:
As always, remember that we are available to answer any questions.

In the next year, our economy is going to be a bit of a mess and the challenge to keep our respective businesses growing may … well, be more challenging!
As members of Lake Oswego LeTip, we have the distinct advantage of having developed relationships with each other that will help us. But, we can’t rest on our laurels, we have to, we MUST grow our chapter and increase our potential.
How Do We Grow Our Membership?
We’re often advised to open up to potential members by mentioning the benefits of our chapter. We are often advised to bring someone in “for breakfast” to experience our meetings. These are good tips to bringing in guests … but how can we turn a “guest” into a “member”? That’s a good question, and one that merits a specific plan of action.
The simple answer is … TEAMWORK.
Here’s how we’ve envisioned the TEAM ACTION PLAN:
Guest follow-up.
After a guest attends …
If we make this small effort as a team we can make a one-visit guest into a two-visit guest and then into a member!
Please contact a boardmember if you have any additional comments or questions.
